In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, people continue to face harassment during cordon and search operations and house raids in Srinagar and other parts of the Kashmir valley and in Jammu region ahead of G20 event in the territory.

According to Kashmir Media Service, locals informed media persons over phone that Indian troops and police personnel barge into their houses at night, line up men, women and children and ask details about the young male members.

The locals have urged the G20 countries to not fall in the trap of the Modi regime, which in order to portray ‘All is OK’ in the occupied territory has made the life of the Kashmiri people a hell during unrelenting military operations.

The troops arrested several civilians, including a religious leader in Poonch and Rajouri districts.

There are reports that one civilian whose identity has been ascertained as ‘Moulvi’ died during interrogation by the troops.

The troops are tight-lipped over the incident and are not sharing the news with the media. It is worth mentioning here that Moulvi Manzoor was arrested from a madrassa in Bathindi, Poonch district a few days back.

Meanwhile, All Parties Hurriyat Conference senior vice chairman Ghulam Ahmed Gulzar in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Pakistan army chief Syed Asim Munir's unflinching and all-out support to the just freedom struggle will further solidify the Kashmiris’ resolve.

He said Pakistan is the benefactor and ambassador of Kashmiri people and it has stood by them like a solid rock in all odds.

A leaked audio call between Munish Sharma, an Indian journalist, asking one of his subordinates to distort facts about the killing of Mukhtiar Hussain Shah who died in police custody on April 27, has exposed Indian brutalities and human rights violations in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

In the audio leak, Shrama could be heard directing Balkar Singh from Amar Ujala Newspaper, Samba, about filing of a news story to cover up the incident.
