In Afghanistan, 17 Taliban were killed in air raids by government forces in Parwan province on Tuesday.

Parwan's provincial government spokesperson Wahida Shahkar said the air raids were launched when more than 200 Taliban insurgents were planning to attack checkpoints of pro-government militiamen in Koh-e-Safi district on Tuesday.
