The Lahore Arts Council is going to hold a 10-day theatre festival from Aug 27 to Sept 5 in Lahore.

In a media interview, Director Art and Culture, Lahore Arts Council Zulfiqar Ali Zulfi said that leading theatre units from Lahore and other cities of the Punjab will participate in this mega event.

He said that from Lahore, prominent theatre groups such as Ajoka, Mass Theatre, Azad Theatre, Olomopolo, Rafi Peer Theatre Workshop, Institute of Performing Arts and many emerging theatre groups will grace the festival.

He said that cities such as Islamabad, Sargodha, Rawalpindi and Faisalabad will also have their representation through their theatre groups.

Zulfiqar Ali said that a number of personalities from theatre, film and television will be invited to the festival and every night there will be one performance by a theatre group.
