The United States has appointed Rina Amiri and Stephanie Foster as its special envoy and senior advisor for Afghan Women and Girls issues and Human Rights situation in Afghanistan.                                   

In a tweet, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said appointment of Rina Amiri and Stephanie Foster will advance US' work for human rights and fundamental freedoms of women, girls, and other at-risk populations in Afghanistan.

He reiterated the US desire for a peaceful, stable and secure Afghanistan where all Afghans can live and thrive in political, economic and social inclusivity.
