United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres says global security environment has entered a phase of heightened extended volatility.

In a report, he said COVID-19 pandemic exacerbated existing global challenges, further exposing the underlying causes of insecurity, social and economic inequality with overtones of racial tension and nationalism.
