President Dr. Arif Alvi has extended his felicitations to the nation, the Muslim Ummah, and the international community at the beginning of the New Year.
In a message, he prayed to Allah Almighty that the coming year brings prosperity, political and economic stability for Pakistan and the entire world.
The President emphasized that at the beginning of the New Year, the brothers and sisters of Palestine cannot be forgotten, as they continue to face brutal and barbaric attacks at the hands of the Israeli forces.
He also expressed serious concerns over Indian atrocities in the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The President highlighted the importance of the international community taking practical measures to resolve these longstanding disputes in accordance with UN resolutions to promote global peace and security.
Additionally, he wished for economic development, interfaith harmony, forgiveness, tolerance, and mutual respect in Pakistan.
In his message Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has reaffirmed his resolve to continue efforts for improvement of individual and collective lives of the people of Pakistan and move towards a bright future.
He prayed that the New Year may bring prosperity and progress for Pakistan.
The Prime Minister, felicitating the entire nation on New Year, said we are celebrating the New Year with simplicity in solidarity with Palestinian people.
He said the journey of peace and prosperity in the country is continuing, expressing confidence that Pakistan will emerge economically as more strong and peaceful during the year 2024.
Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar also expressed the hope that the international community would play a proactive role to stop Israeli genocide in Palestine and work for establishing lasting peace and just resolution of Palestine issue.
He also wished that Kashmiri people may secure new achievements during the year 2024 in getting their ineligible right to self-determination.
The Prime Minister reiterated resolve of his government to eliminate terrorism and sufferings of the people of Pakistan and to further improve economy of the country.
He also paid glowing tributes to the Shuhada and prayed for their high ranks, besides expressing solidarity with the bereaved families.
Meanwhile, Punjab Governor Muhammad Baligh-Ur-Rehman has urged the nation to play a role in the development and stability of the country.
In his felicitation message on the beginning of New Year, he said this year will prove to be the year of development, stability and peace for the country.
The Governor also expressed solidarity with the Palestinian and Kashmiri people and prayed that persecution of the Palestinian and Kashmiri people come to an end.
