Coordinator to the Prime Minister for Climate Change, Romina Khurshid Alam, says Pakistan is facing significant threats and challenges from climate change.

Speaking to a private news channel, she said a proactive approach is being adopted to address this critical issue.

She said the government is working to collaborate and coordinate with provincial authorities to ensure Pakistan fulfills its international environmental commitments.

Romina Khurshid Alam said a comprehensive strategy has been chalked-out to meet environmental targets.

She said the strategy will guide every government in achieving long-term environmental goals.

Romina Khurshid Alam said the “Breathe Pakistan” initiative was launched to raise public awareness about climate issues.

She also urged the media to play a pivotal role in educating the public about environmental challenges.
