The world prepares to welcome 2025 with celebrations across various time zones.

Christmas Island and a line of 10 other most uninhabited islands in central Pacific Ocean will be the first to welcome 2025. 

In New Zealand's largest city, Auckland, thousands are expected to throng the downtown and a light display recognizing Auckland's Indigenous tribes. 

Two hours later in Australia, more than one million people are expected at Sydney Harbor for the traditional fireworks.
