CDWP approves establishment of National Forensic Science Agency in Islamabad ad

The Central Development Working Party has approved the establishment of National Forensic Science Agency at Islamabad at a cost of over 1.8 billion rupees.

The CDWP gave this approval at its meeting held in Islamabad today with Deputy Chairman Planning Commission Mohammad Jehanzeb Khan in the chair.

The forum also consented the first phase of "Promoting Sustainable Public Private Partnership Program", costing 250 million dollars. This program aims to improve the environment for infrastructure financing by promoting public-private partnerships at the federal level. It seeks to attract private investment in crucial sectors like roads, housing, healthcare, education, water and sanitation, as well as technology. It aligns with Pakistan's Vision 2025 pillars, which aim to transform Pakistan's economy into one of the top 10 in the world by 2047.

Besides, the CDWP gave go ahead to the establishment of a Danish School at Kuri Road, Islamabad. Sponsors were asked to conduct feasibility study, rationalize cost and firm up governance model.
