In India, at least five people including two police personnel have been killed and more than sixty injured in clashes between Muslims and Hindus near capital New Delhi.

The communal violence erupted yesterday after a Hindu religious procession passed through the Muslim dominated Nuh region, in Haryana state.

According to the officials by evening, the violence had spilled over into neighbouring Gurugram, where a mosque was torched, killing the cleric and injuring another person.
