In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has vehemently criticized the Narendra Modi-led Indian government for its persistent endeavors aimed at obliterating the identity and economy of the oppressed people of territory.
In a statement in Srinagar, the APHC spokesperson Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas expressed grave concerns over the growing atrocities and political injustices faced by the Kashmiri people in the territory.
Pointing a finger at the Modi regime's active pursuit of the Hindutva agenda, the spokesman said that the BJP and RSS aim to revive pre-Islamic Hindu civilization as part of their 'Akhand Bharat" plan.
On the other hand, a protest demonstration was held in Srinagar to denounce the anti-people policies of the Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party government.
Led by Congress IIOJK chapter, the protesters criticized New Delhi for what they termed as "Tax Terrorism" imposed in the territory.
Meanwhile, Indian troops arrested eight youths during cordon and search operations at various places in Baramulla district and lodged them in jails after booking them under the draconian law, Public Safety Act.
