Analysts denounce India’s attempts to hide truth from the world on its human rights violations against Muslims
July 02, 2022

Najam-ud-Din Sheikh (Former Ambassador): The Indian regime is pursuing the policy of promotion of Hindutva ideology and has launched an aggressive and brutal campaign against minorities, especially Muslims, in the country and in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Blocking the twitter accounts of Pakistan is a futile Indian attempt to stop the flow of facts to the world. Pakistan has registered a strong protest over the Indian act of blocking Twitter accounts of its diplomatic missions and the national broadcaster Radio Pakistan. But India cannot hide its blatant human rights violations and aggressive policies in IIOJ&K from the world. It is high time that OIC uses its influence to put a stop on Indian brutalities against Muslims.

Waheed Ahmed (Former Ambassador): The present Indian government under the leadership of Narendra Modi is continuously targeting the minorities within India and promoting Hindutva ideology. The Muslims are a special target of Hindu extremism. There is a systematic harassment against the Muslims through brutal and illegal policies of New Delhi. The Indian government is once again making efforts to keep the people in dark on ground situation by imposing bans on social media. Fact of the matter is that the current era is of social media and India cannot control the free flow of information. Hopefully, the world will take notice of Indian aggressive policies and will stop it from doing so.

Arif Kamal (Former Ambassador): Both Pakistan and Iran have their geographical importance. The visit of Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Nadeem Raza to Iran and meetings with Iranian leadership is crucial. Matters related to border security and regional peace and stability were discussed in the meetings. In the past, the Pak-Iran gas pipeline project was halted due to the threat of US sanctions on Tehran, but it is the most viable and feasible energy project for Islamabad and needs to be completed at the earliest. It is a positive development that the incumbent government is determined to strengthen bilateral relations with Iran in diverse areas.

Dr. Zahid Anwar Khan (IR Expert): The strong bilateral relations between Pakistan and Iran are vital for regional peace and stability. The recent visit of Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee to Iran will strengthen the bilateral relations. The security issues are main concern for both the countries. The visit will be helpful in ensuring the security of CPEC projects underway in Balochistan, particularly in Gawadar. The visit of CJCSC will result in taking the bilateral relationship further to match its true potential, particularly in the areas of trade, investment, connectivity, border management and people-to-people exchanges.
