In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh acts of state terrorism martyred three Kashmiri youth in Islamabad and Srinagar district today.
According to Kashmir Media Service, two youth were martyred in a fake encounter staged during a cordon and search operation in the Islamabad district.
Another youth was martyred during a violent military operation in Srinagar. Indian troops also destroyed a house during the operation.
Indian forces have also launched another cordon and search operation in Bandipora district.
Meanwhile, All Parties Hurriyat Conference in a statement in Srinagar today, strongly condemned the killing of youth by the occupation troops in Islamabad and Srinagar, and the escalating cordon and search operations in IIOJK.
The APHC spokesman deplored the brutal tactics of Modi regime to suppress the Kashmiris’ just struggle for right to self-determination.
He said killings, fake encounters and arrests amid violent military operations have become a routine, especially since the revocation of the territory’s special status in August 2019.
On the other hand, incarcerated Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik, has gone on an indefinite hunger strike to protest the inadequate medical facilities provided to him at Delhi’s notorious Tihar Jail.
Yasin Malik was arrested by Indian authorities from his residence in Srinagar in 2019 and is currently serving a life sentence in a fabricated case.
A report released by Kashmir Media Service on the occasion of International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists highlights the challenging conditions faced by journalists in the occupied territory.
The report asserts that New Delhi is employing black laws and undemocratic tactics to suppress media freedom in Kashmir. It noted that prominent Kashmiri journalists are currently detained under these oppressive laws.
