April 03, 2024

All Parties Hurriyat Conference senior leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has issued a fervent call for unity to frustrate efforts to implement a divisive sectarian agenda in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Addressing a religious gathering in Srinagar, Mirwaiz expressed deep concern over the prevailing atmosphere of fear and uncertainty among Kashmiri people.

He announced the observance of Jumaat-ul-Vida as Yaum-e-Duya for oppressed people in Kashmir and Palestine.

Meanwhile, in a statement issued in Srinagar, the APHC spokesperson Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas has strongly condemned the systematic exploitation of IIOJK's natural resources by the Narendra Modi-led Indian regime, aiming to economically marginalize Kashmiris.

Other APHC leaders and religious scholars including Agha Syed Hassan Al Moosvi Al Safvi, Molvi Masroor Abbas Ansari, and Agha Syed Mohammad Hadi, echoed similar sentiments at separate gatherings in Budgam, Pattan, and Bemina areas.

Meanwhile speaking to reporters in Srinagar, PDP President Mehbooba Mufti lamented the prevailing atmosphere of oppression in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, highlighting restrictions on freedom of expression even for journalists.

She underscored the profound suffering endured by Kashmiris, with thousands languishing in jails.
