Taliban are holding diplomatic meetings with Britain, Germany and China while Qatar and Turkey are helping the new Afghan government to restore and operationalize Kabul airport.
Deputy Director of Taliban political office Abdul Salam Hanafi held a telephone conversation with Deputy Foreign Minister of China Wu Jianghao and discussed the ongoing situation of the country and future relations.
Taliban spokesperson Suhail Shaheen, in a tweet, said China will maintain their embassy in Kabul and our relations would beef up as compared to the past.
He said China will also continue and increase its humanitarian assistance.
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu told reporters in Ankara that security and other conditions would need to be met for commercial flights at Kabul airport.
German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas has said Germany is ready to resume a diplomatic presence in Kabul if the Taliban meet certain conditions.
Meanwhile, The United States has allowed its financial institutions to process personal remittances to Afghanistan.
In a statement, a Treasury Department spokesperson said the decision to allow money transfers could provide some relief for the Afghan economy, which is nearing collapse. The United States and other countries had announced to freeze some nine billion US dollars after the Taliban takeover on 15th of last month.
