A M Shahid (Former Diplomat):It is really very sad incident on part of Indian forces in which Indian Border Security Force (BSF) martyred two Pakistani innocent civilians in the Bedian Sector along the International Border. Therefore, Pakistan has rightly pointed out that Indian army has been fully politicized and acting like a stooge in the hands of Narendra Modi, RSS, VHP and other Hindu fanatic terror outfits. Pakistani unarmed civilians were working in fields near Indian border but unfortunately, Indian army opened unprovoked fire and martyred them. On the contrary, Pakistani forces have been very responsible and sensible and never tried to open fire on civilians working in their fields on Indian side. Moreover, by martyring Pakistani civilians Indian forces have tried to further escalate already tense situation between both Pakistan and India. I think that Indian forces were given due befitting response in May 2025 during Marka e Haq, so Indian forces would not try another misadventure or false flag operation like Pahalgam incident again. However, Pakistani forces are ready to respond to any misadventure or false flag operation by Indian irresponsible forces. Modi government has lost mentality so New Delhi Modi creates hype against Pakistan to exploit anti Pakistan sentiment to win political support. We can’t expect any improvement in Indian mentality until Modi is in power in India. However, Pakistan must raise issue of Indian irresponsible behavior at UN and other international forums.  Court of Arbitration rejected Indian narrative on Indus Waters Treaty therefore India wants to create some excuse to create tensions and escalations in the region.
