In India, 23 soldiers have been missing after a powerful flash flood caused by intense rainfall tore through a valley in Sikkim state.

In a statement, Indian Army said due to sudden cloud burst, a flash flood occurred in Teesta River and some military vehicles were submerged under the slush.
