In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has appealed to the people to observe November 6 as Martyrs' Day and reaffirm the commitment to the UN-acknowledged Kashmiris' right to self-determination.

APHC spokesperson Abdul Rashid Minhas in a statement in Srinagar described the November 1947 Jammu massacre as the worst tragedy in human history.

Meanwhile, a heavy security clampdown has intensified across occupied Jammu and Kashmir as the five-day assembly session began, today.

Authorities deployed heavy troops, erected massive checkpoints and conducted extensive search operations leading to the arrest of several innocent youth in the length and breadth of the occupied territory.

On the other hand, the Modi-led Indian regime prevented Mirwaiz Umar Farooq from leading the funeral in absentia for his deceased uncle, Mirwaiz Muhammad Ahmed Shah, in Srinagar today.

The APHC-AJK in a statement in Islamabad strongly condemned the occupation authorities' sinister move to place Mirwaiz Umar Farooq under house arrest on this occasion.

In Turkiye, the 8th International Model Islamic Union Congress, which concluded in Istanbul, addressed critical global issues, including the Kashmir dispute.

Kashmiri representative Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai in the conference emphasized that resolving the Kashmir dispute would strengthen international law and enhance regional stability.

He also called for diplomatic support for the Kashmiris who have been denied self-determination for over 77 years.
