The Cabinet Committee on State-Owned Enterprises has approved the appointment of independent directors of various SOEs.

The Committee, which met in Islamabad today with Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb in the chair, approved the appointment of five independent directors of the Printing Corporation of Pakistan, six independent directors of the Fisheries Development Board, and nine independent directors of the Pakistan Cotton Standards Institute.

It also approved the appointment of two independent directors each for the Livestock and Dairy Development Board and the Overseas Pakistanis' Foundation.

The Committee allowed the reconstitution of Boards of Directors of four Railways SOEs, which include Pakistan Railways Advisory and Consultancy Services, Pakistan Railways Freight Transportation Company, Railways Estate Development and Marketing Company, and Railways Construction Pakistan Limited.
