Two persons were killed and eight others injured when an Improvised Explosive Device went off in Jalala area of district Mardan today.

According to Rescue 1122, the injured have been shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Takht Bhai and Mardan Medical Complex.

Meanwhile, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi has strongly condemned the IED blast.

In a statement, he expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of two precious lives in the blast.
