Scale of HR violations, killings alarming since revocation of special status of IIOJK

A report by Kashmir Media Service has described the scale of human rights violations and killings in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) alarming, since the revocation of special status of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir by India.

According to the report, the military siege and gross human rights violations, including killings, extrajudicial executions, arbitrary arrests, torture, and destruction of property and government services, have escalated to an alarming degree.

The report states that the senior Hurriyat leaders, including Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai and Altaf Ahmed Shah were among 223 victims of fake encounters and police custody.

The report has revealed that the Indian troops have martyred 907 Kashmiris including 17 women and thirty young boys during this period.
