All Parties Hurriyat Conference and other pro-freedom organizations have strongly condemned extrajudicial killings of two innocent civilians in Baramulla and Kathua districts and mass arrests of youth by troops in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir
In a statement in Srinagar, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas said IIOJK has witnessed an upsurge in extrajudicial killings and arbitrary arrests.
The APHC revealed that over eight hundred youth have been illegally detained in recent days during intensified crackdown across IIOJK.
It stressed that these actions are designed to instill widespread fear among the Kashmiri population and to force them to abandon their legitimate struggle for freedom.
The APHC demanded a transparent probe into the cold-blooded killings in Baramulla and Kathua and accountability for Indian troops involved.
Abdul Rashid Minhas also called for the immediate release of all unlawfully detained Kashmiri youth and urged global community to take notice of India’s escalating repression in IIOJK.
Senior National Conference leader and Indian parliamentarian Ruhullah Mehdi, speaking to the media in New Delhi, voiced serious concerns over the worsening situation in IIOJK.
Meanwhile, the occupation authorities placed Peoples Democratic Party President Mehbooba Mufti and her daughter, Iltija Mufti, under house arrest in Srinagar, barring them from visiting Baramulla and Kathua to express solidarity with the families of martyred youths Waseem Mir and Makhan Din.
