Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has declared victory over Democratic rival, Kamala Harris, after being projected to win the key battleground states.

Addressing jubilant supporters in Florida, he thanked the American people for the extraordinary honour of being elected the 47th president.

Donald Trump said it is a magnificent victory for the American people. He said this will truly be the golden age of America.
