Analysts urge Interim Afghan govt to prevent use of Afghan soil against Pakistan
September 07, 2023

Brig (Retd) Mehmood Shah (Defense Analyst):

The interim government in Afghanistan is responsible for the recent terror attack in Chitral as it is unable to control the militant organizations operating in the war-torn country. Pakistan has registered its protest to the Afghan government to take responsibility as its soil is being used by the militants against other countries. The weak governance is the main cause that the militants are having safe-havens in that country. The Afghan government needs to take strict and practical measures against the militant organizations.

Lt Gen (Retd) Raza Muhammad Khan (Defense Analyst):

The terror attack in Pakistan can be the part of International conspiracy. The United Nations have pointed out the militant organizations having safe haven in Afghanistan. It is the responsibility of the interim Afghan government to disarm the militant groups and action must be taken as per law. The Afghan Supreme leader has already issued a Fatwa that attacking innocent people is not Jihad. The facilitators of the militants must be brought to justice. The United States and its allies after withdrawal left behind modern weapons in Afghanistan that are now in the use of militant organizations. The international stakeholders must take notice of the activities of the militants using Afghan soil for terror activities against the neighboring countries particularly against Pakistan.

Sqd Leader (Retd) Ghani Akbar (Defense Analyst):

Although India is a much bigger country than Pakistan, there is no comparison of professionalism, dedication and devotion among the forces of the two countries. Pakistan Air Force in the 1965 war expressed its professionalism and defeated a much bigger enemy. Pakistan Air Force is well equipped with modern technology and will defend the territorial integrity of the country by all means.
