Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has foiled a terrorist attack in Karachi by killing a terrorist and arresting five others on Monday.

DIG CTD Raja Umar Khitab told reporters that a house was raided on a tip off and the terrorists opened fire at police. On retaliation one terrorist was killed whereas five of his accomplices were arrested.

He said a huge cache of arms and ammunition including suicide jackets and hand grenades were recovered from their possession.

He said terrorists were planning to launch a terrorist attack in the city with an explosive laden rickshaw.
