The United Nations has suspended Russia's membership of UN Human Rights Council after allegations of human rights violations and mass civilian killings by Russian forces in Ukraine.
Ninety-three member states voted in favour of a resolution initiated by the United States to suspend Russia's membership, 24 voted against it and fifty-eight members abstained from voting.
Russia, China, Cuba, North Korea, Iran, Syria, Vietnam were among those who voted against the resolution.
The meeting marks the resumption of a special emergency session on the war in Ukraine and followed reports of violations committed by Russian forces.
