Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif says progress of Balochistan is inevitable for progress and development of Pakistan.
He was talking to the high-level leadership of Balochistan's lawyers in Islamabad on Tuesday.
The Prime Minister said government will continue efforts for development of Balochistan. He said the talented workforce of Balochistan is a valuable asset for Pakistan.
The meeting discussed the current law and order and security situation in Balochistan.
The delegation appealed to the Prime Minister that the federal government should play role in improving the law and order situation in Balochistan.
In this context, the delegation stressed the importance of the legal proceedings and consultations with the political and tribal leadership of the province.
The delegation also informed the Prime Minister about their meetings with other political leaders in this regard.
The President of the Supreme Court Bar and the President of the Balochistan High Court Bar apprised the Prime Minister of the governance issues in Balochistan and requested the Prime Minister's leadership and guidance to resolve all issues.
The delegation paid tribute to the Prime Minister for prioritizing the development of Balochistan and also lauded the steps taken by the federal government for the welfare of the people of Balochistan.
The delegation appreciated the Prime Minister's initiative to provide higher education to underprivileged students through Danish Schools and requested the establishment of Danish Schools in Khanzai and Mangochar, Kalat.
They appreciated the hundreds of scholarships given by the Prime Minister in the past to provide higher education to students from Balochistan and requested to restart this program. In response, the Prime Minister directed the authorities concerned for immediate implementation of this initiative.
The meeting was attended by Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazir Tarar, President Supreme Court Bar Association Rauf Atta, President Balochistan High Court Bar Association Attaullah Lango and Member Balochistan Bar Council Khalil Kakar.
