Saudi Arabia has evinced strong interest for investment in energy and minerals sector of Pakistan.

The interest was expressed by a Saudi delegation led by Saudi Deputy Minister for Mining Abdul Rahman Al-Balushi during a meeting with Petroleum Minister Ali Pervez Malik in Islamabad on Tuesday.         

The Saudi delegation offered technical support to Pakistan in geological survey and mapping.

The delegation which included CEO of Saudi Geological Survey Abdullah Al-Shamrani, invited Pakistan's Geological Survey team to visit Saudi Arabia.

Welcoming the organizing of Mineral Investment Forum, the Saudi delegation said such forums should be organized on annual basis.

Ali Pervez Malik said Pakistan has planned to hold Mineral Forum every year. He said Pakistan is facilitating foreign investors through an investor-friendly policy.
