Brig (Retd) Mehmood Shah (Defense Analyst):
The Afghan Foreign Minister is a good negotiator and well educated man but the need of the hour is that he must have the credibility to ensure implementation whatever has been decided in the trilateral meeting held in Pakistan. We have observed an improvement in Pak-Afghan relations in recent times. The Afghan interim government consists of representatives from different ethnic groups having differences in their opinions as far as Afghan foreign policy is concerned. It is the responsibility of the Afghan government not allowing any individual, group or party, including the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, the Eastern Turkistan Islamic Movement to use their territories to harm and threaten regional security and interests, or conduct terrorist actions and activities. Pakistan always desired for a peaceful and stable Afghanistan.
