Hajj flight operation to airlift intending pilgrims to the holy land commences tomorrow.

In an exclusive interview with Radio Pakistan’s Correspondent Bilal Khan Mehsud in Madinah Munawwarah, Director Hajj Zia-ur-Rehman Khan said the first flight carrying 180 pilgrims will land at the Madinah Airport.

The Director Hajj said the first fifteen flights will directly land at the Madinah airport.

He said most of the flights from 24th of this month to ninth of the next month will land at the Jeddah airport.

He said the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has made excellent arrangements for the stay of Pakistani pilgrims.

He said the pilgrims under government Hajj Scheme will be accommodated in two-to-five-star hotels with close proximity to the Masjid-e-Nabvi.

Regarding medical facilities, Zia-ur-Rehman Khan said a field hospital, having the latest facilities, has been established to serve guests of Allah Almighty.

He further said all the medical facilities will be provided to Pakistani pilgrims free of cost. For this purpose, the government has engaged the best doctors and paramedics’ staff from Pakistan.

Talking about Road To Makkah project, the Director Hajj commended the Saudi Government for extending special treatment towards Pakistan. He said Pakistan is the only country in the entire Muslim World, enjoying the facility of Road To Makkah project in its two cities. He said Lahore will soon be included in this project.

Zia-ur-Rehman Khan said the intending Hajj pilgrims would be treated as special guests and they will be received at the executive lounges of the Saudi airports. He said the Road To Makkah project will reduce the immigration procedure time from 36 hours to only 30 minutes and will be completed in Pakistan.
