Governor State Bank of Pakistan Jameel Ahmed has stressed for focusing on promotion of export oriented businesses to boost national economy.

Speaking during a visit to the Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Karachi today, he said Small and Medium Enterprises are being facilitated through bank financing to boost business activities.

He said interest rate has continuously decreased and now dropped to 13 from 22 percent.

The Governor State Bank said 35 billion dollar remittances are expected in the current financial year.
