Senior All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has strongly condemned Indian authorities for preventing an important meeting of religious forum in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir on controversial Waqf Amendment Act.

In a post on X, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq commenting on the New Delhi-installed undemocratic move, said it is deeply unjust to deny religious leaders basic democratic right to peacefully deliberate on matters of serious concern to Muslim community.

The representatives from across occupied territory including Ladakh, Kargil, and Jammu regions had already arrived in Srinagar to participate in the meeting.
