Indian authorities intensify restrictions in IIOJK ahead of Republic Day celebrations

In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), Indian authorities have intensified restrictions in the name of high security across the territory, ahead of Indian Republic Day celebrations.

Indian forces have been deployed in all areas along the Line of Control and night patrolling is being conducted all districts.

Night curfew has been imposed in Samba district for two months, officials. Checking and frisking have also been increased in Jammu and Kathua districts.

Meanwhile, in a statement in Srinagar, Senior APHC leader Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar has said that every aspect of life for Kashmiri Muslims is under assault by BJP-led Hindutva regime.

He said the Modi regime's unilateral actions on August 05, 2019 opened a more brutal chapter in Kashmir's tortured history.

He said the regime has taken a number of steps including administrative, demographic and electoral to disempower and disenfranchise the Kashmiris.
