Minister for Energy Omar Ayub says the government is fully committed to execution of Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India pipeline project.
He was talking to Turkmen Ambassador Movlamov Atajan and CEO TAPI Pipeline Company Limited Muhammetmyrat Amanov in Islamabad on Tuesday. Special Assistant on Petroleum Nadeem Babar was also present in the meeting.
The Minister said TAPI Pipeline offers diversification of energy imports, social infrastructure programs, and creation of jobs for all participating countries. He appreciated the progress made on the TAPI pipeline.
Nadeem Babar also stressed the need to resolve all the outstanding issues for the early implementation of the project.
The CEO of the TPCL apprised the Minister and the Special Assistant on the progress made on the TAPI Pipeline Project and its benefits to the region and Pakistan.
