6700 Sikh Yatrees arrive in Pakistan to participate in Vaisakhi Mela

Nearly 6700 Sikh Yatrees has reached Pakistan via Wagha border crossing today, to take part in Vaisakhi celebrations and 326th Khalsa Birth Anniverary celebrations.  

The Minister of State for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Kheal Das Kohistani, Pardhan of Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, and Sikh community leaders warmly received the Sikh Yatrees.

The main ceremony of Vaisakhi mela will be held at Nankana Sahib on Monday.

Talking to newsmen at Wagha Border, the Minister of State for Religious Affairs said that Sikhs Yatrees from all over the world are coming to Pakistan without fear to attend their sacred places of worship.

The Yatrees have been divided into two groups.

The first group will visit Gurdwara Panja Sahib in Hassan Abdal, while the second group will head to Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur.

Both groups will arrive at Gurdwara Janam Asthan, Nankana Sahib tomorrow.
