In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred one more Kashmiri youth in Shopian district today.
The troops martyred the youth during a cordon and search operation in Amishpora area of the district.
Meanwhile, complete shutdown is being observed in Sopore town against the killing of a youth by Indian troops, today.
All shops and business establishments are closed in Sopore while public transport is off the road.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla has ordered the closure of all schools and colleges in Sopore town.
The occupation authorities have also suspended internet services in the area.
Youth took to the streets soon after the culmination of Juma prayers, today, at historic Jamia Masjid in Nowhatta area of Srinagar and staged anti-India demonstrations.
Indian police and troops fired pellets and teargas shells to disperse the protesters, injuring several of them. Six youth were hit by pellets.
Indian troops and police personnel arrested three brothers during a raid in the wee hours, today, at Cherawani near Charar-e-Sharief area of Badgam district. The arrestees were identified as Muzaffar Ahmed Dar, Irfan Ahmed Dar and Touseef Ahmed Dar.
In London, Kashmiri diaspora leadership headed by Barrister Abdul Majeed Tramboo urged international community to forestall Narendra Modi-led BJP’s plan to convert Muslim majority in occupied Kashmir into a Hindu majority.
Adressing a press conference, Tramboo quoting figures from Kashmir Media Service during five-year rule of BJP in New Delhi that revelead that Indian troops had killed 1,352 Kashmiris including 31 women and 120 children.
He said that of those 109 were killed in custody while 14 persons were subjected to custodial disappearance.
He said BJP is running election campaign through both electronic and print media throughout India with the promise of granting land in occupied Kashmir to those who cast their vote in favour of the party.
