In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has expressed grave concern over the grim situation in the territory due to massive cordon-and-search operations and illegal detentions of Kashmiris.
In a statement, the APHC leadership in Srinagar said the Kashmiri prisoners are detained for their political ideologies and their trials are deliberately delayed to prolong their detention.
Meanwhile, Indian forces have launched cordon-and-search operations in different areas of the occupied territory ahead of India's Independence Day.
Restrictions have been intensified across the territory, with increased frisking and vehicle checking.
On the other hand, Indian police attached over 12 kanals of land belonging to a Kashmiri in Baramulla district, while in Jammu, Indian forces demolished shops owned by Kashmiris.
