Waheed Ahmad (Former Ambassador): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to Belarus has been greatly successful and hopefully this visit will further open new avenues of bilateral cooperation between both the countries.  Pakistan and Belarus are eager to enhance bilateral cooperation and relations and have signed a number of agreements and MoUs. These agreements will provide immense opportunities to further cement the existing cooperation. Both the countries are willing to diversify bilateral cooperation. We need to enhance cooperation in agricultural sector to get high yields from our agricultural farms and fields. We need to upgrade our traditional agricultural means modern tools and techniques. Moreover, Belarus is facing shortage of workforce and now they have agreed to import 150,000 skilled workers from Pakistan. It will be a good opportunity for both sides to enhance people to people contacts.At present Pakistani businessmen have least business ties with Belarus businessmen, however, once both sides take a start on business to business cooperation, they will create more and more opportunities for future cooperation.
