Dr Mirza Ikhtiar Baig (MP):  Pakistani diaspora is very important for our national social and economic life. Due the great services overseas Pakistanis need to be honoured and facilitated. Therefore the government has decided to host them as state guests at Overseas Pakistanis Convention. I will be attending the overseas convention as member of the parliament. Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Army Chief General Asim Munir and and other dignitaries will be addressing the convention in a bid to honour overseas Pakistanis. I hope that Pakistani diaspora will be show keen interest in investing lucrative Pakistani economic sectors in result of this convention. Different Pakistani economic sectors offer huge investment potential. 

A M Shahid (Former Ambassador): Overseas Pakistanis Convention is a great initiative by the government to honour our ambassadors abroad. Over nine million overseas Pakistani live abroad and they send over $30 billion remittances every year. During the Overseas Pakistanis Convention, the government will seek proposals from the participants to boost economy as well as future course of action to take nation forward towards the progress and prosperity. I am hopeful that this convention will bring great results  as participants will feel encouraged to serve the nation with new zeal and fervor. 

 Faisal Maqsood (Analyst): The government has taken drastic measures to facilitate overseas Pakistanis therefore Pakistani expats have reciprocated and remitted record high remittances to Pakistan. Pakistanis living abroad are showing their immense trust in the economic policies of the government. Overseas Pakistanis can invest in different sectors in Pakistan including minerals, real estate, mining and others.
