Dr. Dost Muhammad (Religious Scholar): Rights of minorities are fully protected in Pakistan. The state of Pakistan does not distinguish between people on the basis of caste, creed, race and religion. Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah in his landmark speech had said that followers of all religions are free to go to their places of worship. Islam is a religion of peace and minorities are given all rights to practice their faith. Minorities are contributing in all walks of life and for development of the country. There are several examples in Pakistan in which members of minorities served as our heroes. In India, the situation is totally opposite. Minorities in India are being persecuted due to Hindutva policies of Modi regime.
Dr. Sajjad (Religious Scholar): Islam is a religion that grants full freedoms to followers of all faiths. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) came as blessing for the whole universe. He taught us that we must protect lives, property and honor of all human beings as per teachings of Islam. Islam makes it obligatory on all Muslims to protect the rights of minorities. Constitution of Pakistan grants full freedoms to minorities and gives them equal rights. In comparison with India, minorities are enjoying more rights in Pakistan. Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah made the demand of a separate country where Muslims as well as non-Muslims could live freely. If some extremist elements in Pakistan act against followers of other religions, they are condemned by the whole society.
