National Counter-Terrorism Authority has conducted a two-day workshop on developing effective communication strategies to enhance outreach and prevent violent extremism in society.
During the workshop, speakers put forward various recommendations for creating effective communication strategies to combat violent extremism, in alignment with the Paigham-e-Pakistan initiative.
In her address, Director General of Communication and Outreach, Saleha Zakir Shah, emphasized that the goal of the workshop was to seek expert recommendations that would help in the development of these strategies. She called for collective efforts to address the growing menace of violent extremism.
Other participants highlighted the significance of Mimber-o-Mehrab and stressed its vital role as an effective means of communication in driving social change within society. To further social transformation, they advocated for the positive use of social media platforms to engage and influence the younger generation.
The participants urged the government to take meaningful steps to address the sense of deprivation among youth as a key measure for ensuring long-term peace. Additionally, they proposed utilizing the services of teachers to effectively reach students and youth, influencing their perspectives and behaviors.
