Dr. Salma Mehar Fatima Malik (IR Expert):Houthi attack on non-combatant commercial Pakistani vessel is very unfortunate. Houthi attack on flag carrier vessel is condemnable because it claimed precious lives of three Pakistani nationals and injured another one. Therefore, Pakistan strongly condemns the Houthi attack on a non-combatant commercial vessel in the Red Sea. I think that Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has also condemned this incident in the strongest terms. This attack is definitely on Pakistan because it is on Pakistani assets. Therefore, we condemn this attack in the strongest possible terms. Houthis may also pose threats of future such attacks. Therefore, Pakistan needs to evoke all concerned international protocols related to protection of vessels. In this concern, Pakistan must take up this issue with concerned platforms.
