The Washington-based World Kashmir Awareness Forum, has urged the international community to take urgent steps to enable the Kashmiri people to exercise their UN-promised right to self-determination.

In a statement, the President of the Forum Ghulam Nabi Mir said this year, the people of Kashmir have suffered even further escalations of human rights abuses.

He said it cannot be put more plainly and Kashmiris are facing an existential crisis.
