Renowned journalist and political analyst Wajahat Masood has said that the most outstanding feature of the 1973 constitution is that all major political parties were consulted before its formulation and they all accepted it wholeheartedly.         

He was speaking during an exclusive video podcast with Radio Pakistan Lahore's correspondent Sajjad Pervez in connection with Golden Jubilee Celebrations of 1973 constitution of Pakistan.                

Wajahat Masood said former Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was a visionary leader and politician who had the honor to give a consensus constitution to the country.

He said the constitution is supreme law of the land that harmonizes different organs of the state including executive, legislature and judiciary and guarantees national cohesion.     

Wajahat Masood expressed the hope that the new generation will bring betterment without compromising the actual spirit of the constitution.
