The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has expressed deep alarm over the mounting repression and human rights violations being committed by Indian forces in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas in a statement issued in Srinagar reminded the world powers of their moral responsibility to ensure a peaceful resolution to the decades-old Kashmir dispute in accordance with UN resolutions and the aspirations of its people.
APHC urged the global community to intervene and save the Kashmiris from the rising tide of Hindutva onslaught.
Meanwhile, Indian troops continued intensified cordon and search operations across Kashmir Valley and the Jammu region.
The operations involving the Indian Army, Central Reserve Police Force and police personnel were reported in Srinagar, Kulgam, Budgam, Islamabad, Pulwama, Kupwara, Kathua, Doda, Kishtwar, Udhampur, Rajouri and Poonch districts.
Residents report arbitrary house raids, prolonged detentions, and harassment during the searches.
In Reasi district, restrictions were further tightened in the name of security ahead of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled visit on 19th of this month.
