Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas arrived in Beijing today on a four-day official visit to China.

According to Palestinian media, Abbas will meet with President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang besides other top Chinese officials during the trip.

Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said China is ready to help facilitate Israeli-Palestinian peace talks. He said China has always firmly supported the just cause of the Palestinian people to restore their legitimate national rights.
