Dr. Zahid Anwar Khan (IR Expert): There is no other option but to formulate an inclusive government for stability in Afghanistan. Pakistan is of the opinion that civil war could erupt in Afghanistan if Taliban fail to form an inclusive government. The representative government would protect the rights of all Afghans and provide equal opportunities to women to participate in all spheres of Afghan society. This is the only way Afghan government gets the international reorganization. People from all the ethnicities must be given the opportunity to represent government. It is the responsibility of the international community to engage with Afghan government in order to avert economic collapse or an all-out civil war in the country. The peace in Afghanistan is not only important for Pakistan, but for the entire world as well.
Brig. (Retd.) Said Nazir (Defense Analyst): An inclusive government comprising representatives of all the ethnicities is vital for a peaceful and stable Afghanistan. The international community must come forward and support the Afghan people to avert any humanitarian crises in the country. The world organizations, including the United Nations, must play their role to cope with the challenges emerging in Afghanistan. The Taliban have come up with a different approach as compared to their previous tenure. The newly formed government must be given the time to prove credibility. No country can dictate them to run their affairs.
Mirza Ikhtiyar Baig (Economist): Balochistan is the largest province comprising 43.6 percent of the total area of Pakistan. However, none of the previous governments paid attention to the development of this province. There are important development projects underway in the province including Gwadar port. Once these projects are completed, Gwadar port will prove to be a turning point in the history of Pakistan. The incumbent government is making all out efforts to ensure timely completion of these projects within stipulated time. The people of Balochistan deserve better education, health facilities and infrastructure like their fellow countrymen. I appreciate the efforts of the present government for giving top priority to the betterment of the Baloch people. Hopefully, these efforts will result in eliminating the sense of deprivation of the people of Balochistan. Economic zones will be established under CPEC in Balochistan that will provide job opportunities to the people of the area and unemployment will reduce.
