A Z Hilali (IR Expert):  Pakistan is in a better position in the world as compared to India. Therefore, Pakistan needs not to be worried about any irrational statement from the US or India. Factually India and the US are being isolated in the world whereas Pakistan enjoys full support from the international community on its stance. Even BBC has acknowledged Pakistan’s great role in the international war on terror. BBC reported that Pakistan played key role in the world’s campaign against terrorism to the extent that the world might have not won this war without Pakistan’s active participation. Even if today, Pakistan is separated from international campaign against terror, then India and the region will have to suffer a lot because a number of separatist movements are at full bloom in a number of Indian states. So far as joint statement issued by the US after Trump’s meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is concerned, I want to comment that Modi visited the US just to felicitate Trump on his second tenure at the US Presidency. But the US issued the statement without taking ground realities in South Asia into consideration and just to please India. Factually, the US wants to encircle China through India and has been making bids for the last seventy years, but India has been cunningly changing its policy after gaining advantages from the US. Now the US President Donald Trump has crossed all limits and violated diplomatic norms by issuing the statement along with Modi. Modi and his party are on a weak footing in India and ruling through a coalition government. Indian Congress has criticized Modi’s visit to the US and termed it as a futile bid to destroy relations with neighbours.
