Naela Chohan (Former Ambassador): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has called for the resolution of conflicts as per UN resolutions. Pakistan is a responsible member of international community and wants peaceful resolution of all the outstanding disputes and conflicts as per resolutions passed by the United Nations. Kashmir and Palestine disputes are the oldest unresolved disputes on the agenda of the United Nations. The world must realize that without resolution of both these disputes as per UN resolutions, the durable global peace and order can’t be ensured. India took the Kashmir issue to the United Nations and promised to resolve it as per UN resolutions but later it changed its narratives cunningly and termed Kashmir as its integral part. It is blatant violation of UN resolutions. The international community must take strong notice of this grave violation. A few years back, India moved a step further and abrogated the clauses from its constitution illegally and slashed special status of Kashmir. Now India is following sheer agenda of Hindutva in Kashmir and India and making lives of Muslims and Kashmiris miserable. In this context, overseas Pakistanis and Kashmiris are required to play their active role in the exposing false and wrong Indian propaganda on Kashmir issue.
