A meeting of Public Private Partnership Authority (PPPA) chaired by Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar in Islamabad on Friday approved the bid documents of the landmark Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway Project.
The project will now be floated in the market and the bidders shall be given adequate time to prepare their proposals.
It is proposed to be constructed on Public Private Partnership basis at approved construction cost of approximately 191 billion rupees.
The Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway Project is expected to be completed in thirty months following financial close.
Speaking on the occasion, Asad Umar said development of transportation corridors was critical to the present government's development strategy. He said Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway would be a vital section of the North-South connectivity and would also have a far reaching social and economic impact.
